The wife of Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the only survivor of the Air India crash, has shared a painful update. The June disaster killed 260 people, including his brother, Ajay, who was sitting near him.
Hiral, his wife, revealed that Ramesh remains under medical care in India. “Everything happened in front of him, and the main thing is he lost his brother,” she said. Their four-year-old son has returned to the UK for school but still “misses his dad.”

Doctors have not said when Ramesh will be strong enough to return home. His brother-in-law fears he may never fly again, saying, “I think he will stay there because he would be too frightened to get on a plane.”
Investigators believe the crash may have been caused by fuel switches being accidentally cut off shortly after takeoff. The inquiry is ongoing.
This tragedy is not only about survival but about deep loss and painful recovery. How do you think families find the strength to move forward?
