Beloved actress Loni Anderson has died just two days before turning 80. Known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati, Anderson passed away on August 3, 2025, in Los Angeles after a long illness, her family confirmed.
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother,” the family said. Her publicist added that she died peacefully in the hospital.

Anderson rose to fame in the late ’70s, redefining the image of blondes on TV. “We can be glamorous and smart,” she once said about her groundbreaking role. She earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her work.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Flick, her children Deidra and Quinton, grandchildren, and extended family. A private service will be held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Her death comes just months after fellow TV legend Loretta Swit passed away at 87. Both women left lasting marks on television, remembered for their strength, talent, and impact on generations of fans.
