Marina Smith, a 34-year-old influencer in São Paulo, Brazil, says her friends did not invite her to their annual Christmas dinner because they think she is “too hot” and could “tempt” their partners. She says she learned this after a friend’s boyfriend told her she had been left out of a WhatsApp group planning the event.

In an interview with MailOnline, Smith said: “I’ve been banned from Christmas dinner because the women think I’ll steal their men.” She added: “They’re worried I might tempt their husbands and boyfriends.” Smith, a former Miss BumBum winner, said she has been single since early 2024.
She says the decision hurt and feels unfair. “I always respect other people’s relationships. I’ve never made advances toward their partners. I think it’s jealousy on their part,” she said. She also said being single already limits how often she joins friends, since many now socialize as couples.

Smith says she plans to confront her friends, but she does not want a late invitation. “I hope they don’t change their minds and invite me because the answer is no!” she said. “Yes, I’m a beautiful woman, but that’s not a reason to leave me out.”
