Woman who filmed CEO and employee on Coldplay jumbotron reveals how much money she’s made from viral video

Grace Springer, the woman who filmed the now-viral Coldplay concert clip featuring CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, has revealed that she made “no money” from the video. “I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views. It’s not monetised,” she told This Morning presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.

The footage, captured at a Coldplay show in Massachusetts, went viral after Byron—who is married—was seen closely swaying with Cabot on the jumbotron. The video has since racked up over 125 million views, sparking massive online debate. “In the moment, I didn’t think much of it,” Springer said. “But after the concert, we reviewed the footage, and I think it does look bad.”

Springer admitted she feels for Byron’s wife and family but believes someone else would have posted it if she hadn’t. “At the end of the day, you need to be held accountable for your actions,” she told LADbible.

Following the viral scandal, Byron resigned as CEO of Astronomer. The company confirmed that “the standard was not met,” and co-founder Pete DeJoy has taken over as interim CEO.
