A 25-year-old mother of five says vaping nearly cost her life. Cloey Eyes from Florida thought she was having a heart attack after waking with sharp chest pains. “I couldn’t catch my breath… I felt like I was suffocating,” she recalled.
Doctors discovered oil pockets around both her lungs, a condition linked to “popcorn lung” and lipoid pneumonia. Cloey had switched from cigarettes to vaping in 2023, using a disposable device daily. “It was convenient, always right there,” she said. But almost two years later, her vaping habit led to dangerous lung damage.

After a night in hospital, Cloey quit cold turkey. “I feel 10 times better now. My lungs don’t feel heavy,” she shared. She warns other parents: “Even if you don’t feel pain, vaping could be taking 10 years off your life.”
Her message is simple — the risks aren’t worth it. “To think I could have died at 25… it’s just not worth it,” she said.
