Country singer Rory Feek, 59, has remarried eight years after losing his wife, Joey, to cancer. Rory tied the knot with Rebecca, a dedicated schoolteacher to his 10-year-old daughter, Indiana. Their intimate ceremony surprised many friends and family.
Rory shared the touching story of their journey in a blog post. The idea of marrying Rebecca began as “a seed planted in his heart by God” while playing his guitar. Indiana played a pivotal role, telling Rebecca, “I think you should marry Papa,” and adding, “If she marries you, maybe she could be my new mother.”
The wedding took place on July 14 in Greycliff, Montana, under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion. Rory gifted Rebecca a song he’d been working on since April. Reflecting on the day, Rory felt blessed to love again and create new memories with Rebecca and Indiana.
Rory’s late wife, Joey, passed away on March 4, 2016, leaving a lasting impact on him and their family. In a blog post, Rory wrote, “She is in Heaven. The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased, and all her tears are dry.” Despite the sorrow, Rory now finds renewed happiness and hope with Rebecca and Indiana by his side.
