This Movie Star Hid His Brain Tumor, Fearing He’d Die, While His Wife Was Carrying Their Baby

A Hollywood star faced a life-threatening challenge while his wife was pregnant with their first child. Diagnosed with a brain tumor, he kept the news to himself for weeks, fearing he’d die and leave his family behind. “I was certain I was going to die,” he admitted. The tumor, an acoustic neuroma, was successfully removed, but he temporarily lost function on the left side of his face. Despite this, he made a full recovery.

The couple’s love story began in 1998 when they met in Los Angeles. “All I had was my decency, wit, and charm—I didn’t have anything,” the actor explained. His wife saw his potential, and they’ve now been married for 24 years, raising three children.

Raising their children has been a priority. His wife, Sunrise, took on many responsibilities, which he appreciates, calling her “a hero.” Today, he cherishes every moment with his family, grateful for surviving that difficult period and being able to witness his children grow up.
