Amber Luke, known as ‘Australia’s most tattooed woman,’ has spent $300,000 on tattoos, surgeries, and body modifications. She recently shared photos of her appearance before her transformation. Despite covering 99% of her body in ink, she says, “There will never be a point where I am done self-evolving – both inside and outside.”
One of her most extreme modifications was tattooing her eyeballs at age 20. “I saw it online and thought it was so strikingly unique. I knew it was meant for me,” she explains. However, the procedure left her blind for three weeks due to a mistake. “Unfortunately for me, he hit my retina,” she reveals. She has also faced complications like a severe wrist tattoo infection.

Luke’s appearance has impacted her life, making it difficult to find work and even enter clubs. “My bodysuit is stigmatised to the point I can’t even go clubbing,” she says. Despite criticism, she stands by her choices: “Not everyone is supposed to find me beautiful, but that does not mean you have the entitlement to bring me down.”
Reflecting on her past look, she admits, “I absolutely despise it. Losing my visual identity is a rough trot!” However, she remains supported by those who respect her journey.
