Loretta Lynn Enlists John Carter Cash To Play Guitar While She Sings “Country Christmas”

Throughout her extensive career in country music, Loretta Lynn only released two Christmas albums. One of her classics, “Country Christmas,” first appeared on her 1966 album. Decades later, she revisited this joyful track for her 2016 release, “White Christmas Blue.”

Lynn’s collaboration with John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and June Carter, added a special touch to her holiday tunes. Cash, a longtime friend and collaborator, joined Lynn on guitar for a heartwarming rendition of “Country Christmas.”

Their performance, captured in a charming music video, exudes holiday spirit. Lynn, adorned in a festive red jacket, sits beside Cash as they strum and sing amidst a backdrop of nostalgic Christmas decor.

The video also includes precious home footage of Lynn’s family celebrations, adding a personal touch to the seasonal cheer. Despite Lynn’s passing, her music continues to bring joy, with “Country Christmas” serving as a timeless reminder of her talent and spirit.
