The incident occurred as her husband was driving their family along State Route 12E in Brownville, New York. Witnesses reported seeing the door swing open due to the wind, causing Monika to fall out and hit her head on the road. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at Samaritan Medical Center. The New York State Police are investigating the incident.
