Portraits Unveiled
To mark the second anniversary of their 2023 coronation, King Charles III and Queen Camilla revealed their official portraits at the National Gallery in London. Charles chose Peter Kuhfeld, while Camilla picked Paul S. Benney. The portraits will remain on display until June 5, 2025, before moving to Buckingham Palace.
Public Reaction
The paintings sparked mixed reactions online. While many praised Camilla’s portrait, Charles’ depiction drew criticism. One user wrote, “Queen Camilla’s portrait is stunning… but… erm.. I can’t say I’m a fan of [the King’s].” Others called his image “cartoonish” and said Camilla looked overly “filtered” and “much younger than she is.”

Royal Anniversary in Italy
The portraits’ reveal followed the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary photoshoot in Italy. Captured outside Villa Wolkonsky, Charles was seen affectionately telling Camilla, “This is lovely… beautiful… come closer.”
Diplomatic Visit & Harry’s Legal Battle
Their Italy visit included meetings with President Sergio Mattarella. Meanwhile, Prince Harry was in London appealing a decision to reduce his police protection, saying he’s willing to pay, but “the funds either come centrally, or not at all.”
