The Royal Family is reportedly ready to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their Sussex titles if they continue making damaging claims about the monarchy. An insider told the Daily Mail that while removing their titles would require an Act of Parliament, the family is prepared to take action if necessary.
Since stepping down as senior royals in 2020 and relocating to California, Harry and Meghan have made several public allegations. In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan shared that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” and claimed her requests for help were ignored. Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare, detailed tensions within the family, including an argument before his wedding that left Meghan “sobbing on the floor.”
Recently, Meghan’s comments on her Netflix series have stirred controversy. She told Mindy Kaling, “You know I’m ‘Sussex’ now,” emphasizing its importance as a family name. However, critics argue that Sussex is a title, not a surname, with one person stating, “Her name is NOT Meghan Sussex.”
The debate over their titles continues as tensions between the couple and the Royal Family remain high.
