People are just discovering the clever reason behind Will Smith’s kids’ names, Jaden and Willow. Smith, known for hit films like “Men in Black” and “Independence Day,” shares two children with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith: Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23. The couple, married since 1997, also have Trey, 31, from Smith’s previous marriage.
Jaden starred in “Pursuit of Happyness” and “The Karate Kid,” and has a successful music career, releasing his debut album “Syre” in 2017. Willow gained fame with her 2010 hit “Whip My Hair” and continued her music career with tracks like “Wait A Minute!”
Willow’s rebellious act of shaving her head led Will Smith to reassess his parenting style. He said, “I had to really think about the question she was asking me. The question she was really asking was, ‘Daddy, does it matter to you how I feel?’”
An X (formerly Twitter) user revealed that Jaden and Willow’s names are variations of their parents’ names, Willard and Jada. The post explained, “Willard Oliver Smith Jr and Jada Naomi Pinkett Smith” sound like “Will O” and “Jada N.” This revelation left many people mind-blown, with one comment saying, “I thought they were just random names.”
