Sarah was encouraging her son Adam to eat dinner while her husband Arnold, a web designer, was engrossed in his smartphone. “Adam, listen to your mom, okay?” Arnold replied without looking up. Suddenly, Arnold received a work message and left abruptly, missing Adam’s basketball game.
