Sarah was encouraging her son Adam to eat dinner while her husband Arnold, a web designer, was engrossed in his smartphone. “Adam, listen to your mom, okay?” Arnold replied without looking up. Suddenly, Arnold received a work message and left abruptly, missing Adam’s basketball game.
Sarah promised Adam they’d watch the game together. As they watched, the “Kiss Cam” focused on Arnold with Nancy, their former nanny. Shocked, Sarah tried to dismiss it, but her heart sank.
Needing answers, Sarah texted Nancy, pretending to send a birthday gift. Later, she observed Arnold arriving at Nancy’s luxurious home with a convertible as a gift. Realizing the depth of their affair, Sarah confronted Arnold, who confessed, “I love Nancy.”
In a fit of desperation, Sarah took money from their safe and bought a gun. She confronted Arnold and Nancy, but the gun malfunctioned. Police, following her due to the illegal gun purchase, arrested her.
In court, Sarah was sentenced to 20 years for attempted first-degree murder. As she was led away, she saw Adam in Nancy’s arms, knowing she’d never see him again.
