The US military launched a powerful overnight attack on Iran using high-tech B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and submarines. President Trump confirmed the strikes on social media, calling it a “spectacular military success.” Over 40 missiles and bombs hit three nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated, with both countries trading missile attacks. The West has long feared Iran’s nuclear ambitions, described as a “grave threat” by UK leader Sir Keir Starmer. Trump had warned Iran that any attack on the US would be met with force “never seen before.”
Six B-2 bombers, each worth over $2 billion, flew from Missouri for the mission. They dropped massive “bunker buster” bombs, designed to destroy heavily fortified targets. Submarines launched additional Tomahawk missiles to complete the assault.
B-2 bombers are America’s most advanced and expensive warplanes, able to evade radar and carry nuclear weapons. Their long-range design allows missions up to 44 hours and over 18,000 km. This strike reminds the world of the unmatched reach of US air power.
