Sophie Turner Talks ‘Hero’ Taylor Swift Taking Her and Joe Jonas’ Kids In After Their Split

Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas dated briefly in 2008. After Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas split in September 2023, Swift became a significant support for Turner. The Game of Thrones star detailed this in British Vogue, calling Swift an “absolute hero.”
Turner reached out to Swift when she needed a place to stay in New York City. “Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” Turner says. Swift lent Turner her New York apartment for free. “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space,” Turner shared.
Turner and Swift were often seen together after the split, spending time with friends like Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Sabrina Carpenter. Turner also attended Kansas City Chiefs games with Swift, who was supporting Travis Kelce.
Turner and Jonas have daughters Willa, almost 4, and Delphine, almost 2. Their divorce and custody arrangements are ongoing, with Turner wanting to raise their children in the U.K. She also expressed concerns about gun violence and women’s rights in the U.S., contributing to her desire to leave the country.
