He described his wife, Isabelle Butker, as finding fulfillment in these roles. His remarks received backlash, especially when he compared the LGBTQIA+ community’s Pride Month to “deadly sins” and implied that men are responsible for societal order.
Despite the backlash, Butker had previously praised Taylor Swift, expressing admiration for her and his teammate Travis Kelce’s relationship. He had hoped for their marriage and family.
