On June 6, Dakota Johnson made a bold fashion statement in New York City, stepping out in a sleeveless sheer black dress while promoting her upcoming movie Materialists on Late Night with Seth Meyers. She completed the look with gold hoops, black heels, dark sunglasses, and a standout brown leather bag.
Online reactions poured in. Some fans praised her look as a “gorgeous revenge dress,” while others called it “too revealing” and questioned the sheer trend. One commenter said, “Newly single = sheer dress?” sparking speculation about her personal life.
Reports confirm that Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have ended their nearly 8-year relationship. “It feels final this time,” one source said. The split follows years of engagement rumors and quiet reconciliations.
Johnson now stars in Materialists alongside Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. Director Celine Song praised their on-screen chemistry, while Johnson joked that Pascal “takes my clothes” off-set—fueling playful rumors of a new romance.
