Medical Overview
Donald Trump, 78, completed his first physical exam of his second presidential term. The report confirmed two past surgeries: an appendectomy at age 12 and recent cataract surgery on both eyes. His physician noted Trump is in “excellent health,” with strong heart, lung, and brain function. He “achieved a perfect score” on a cognitive test and shows “no signs of depression or anxiety.”
Ongoing Conditions and Medications
Trump’s report listed high cholesterol, rosacea, a previous COVID-19 infection, and a benign colon polyp. His current treatments include cholesterol-lowering medication, low-dose aspirin, and a topical skin cream. He maintains full joint mobility and has a normal neurological exam.
Weight Controversy and Public Reactions
The president weighs 224 pounds and stands 6’2.5”. Many online questioned these numbers. “That man is not 224 lbs,” one user said. Another joked, “78 years old, fast food diet, zero exercise… and still perfectly healthy.”
Expert Opinions and Trump’s Response
Dr. Mark Siegel praised Trump’s results, calling them “inspiratory,” while Trump himself said, “I have never felt better… I think I did well.” He credited golf and a good heart—“and a very good soul”—for his health.
