Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez tied the knot in Venice on June 27, celebrating their wedding with a $56 million bash attended by A-list celebrities. Guests included Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sydney Sweeney, Oprah Winfrey, and much of the Kardashian-Jenner clan—except Kourtney. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were also in attendance.
Despite the glamour, many online users criticized the guest list, claiming the couple lacks genuine friendships. “I love how Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have no real friends,” one user posted. Another added, “Weddings like this aren’t about friends—they’re about projecting status.”
Not all reactions were negative. Some defended the 200-person guest list as fairly large. “Lol nobody has 200 friends, let’s be real,” one user argued. Others said if they had Bezos-level wealth, they’d also invite celebrities just for fun: “Why the hell not?”
Some pointed out that such high-profile names often cross paths at galas and fundraisers. “They do genuinely see these people a lot,” one commenter noted, hinting that these bonds, though unconventional, may still be authentic in elite social circles.
