Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez turned 55 on July 24 and celebrated with a “Bridgerton”-themed party in The Hamptons on July 20. The event featured extravagant details like a horse-drawn carriage, which sparked criticism online for its perceived cruelty. Critics also targeted Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, for her attire. One commenter said, “So tacky!!!” while another remarked, “You’re not English you are too old for dressing up!!!!”
Lopez’s own outfit also drew mixed reactions. She wore a turquoise ballroom gown with gold detailing, white gloves, and high-heeled gold shoes. Despite some negative comments, many praised her look, with one fan calling it “breathtaking.”
During the party, guests enjoyed a live orchestra playing modern baroque music and danced in “Bridgerton” style. Videos showed Lopez posing and singing with guests, embodying the evening’s luxurious theme.
Reflecting on her birthday, Lopez expressed gratitude on Instagram, saying, “I have so much love for you… Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times.”
