Man Gets All His Children DNA-Tested after Eldest Daughter Shows Him Her DNA Test Result
A Redditor, Needadvicedesperate, and his wife, high school sweethearts, had five children. Everything seemed perfect until nearly 30 years later, when his eldest daughter’s ancestry test revealed he wasn’t her biological father. He reassured her, saying, “No matter what, she’s my daughter, and I’ll always love her unconditionally.”
He and his daughter took a paternity test, confirming the shocking news. Devastated, he struggled with his wife’s betrayal and broke down. “The combination of finding out about my wife’s infidelity and how upset I was making my daughter by how I was reacting. I really wish I had kept it in for her sake, but I didn’t,” he confessed.
Deciding to test his other children, excluding his youngest teen, he told them privately. They supported him and agreed to undergo paternity tests. The results revealed none were his biological children, each having different fathers. He confronted his wife, who dismissed the tests as faulty, claiming, “We’ve been together since high school. Do you seriously not trust me?”
Seeking advice, he was urged to prioritize his youngest daughter’s wellbeing and protect her from future betrayal. He decided to tell her the truth when she was older and considered filing for divorce if his wife’s attitude didn’t change. Despite everything, he realized the relationship with his children mattered most, regardless of paternity.
