Katie’s life turned hectic as she prepared for her first baby with her husband Mark. Amidst the chaos, one constant was her co-worker Emily, whom she’d been driving to work. Even after moving in with Mark, Katie continued this routine out of goodwill.
However, when Katie went on maternity leave, Emily expected Mark to take over the rides. Katie refused, citing the impracticality of a newborn’s schedule. Emily persisted, even showing up early one morning to press her case, which led to a tense confrontation.
The situation escalated when Emily took their car without permission, claiming she needed it for work. This act crossed a line for Katie and Mark, who decided to bolster their home security and cut ties with Emily.
Despite the stress, Katie and Mark emerged stronger, focusing on their new family and the future ahead, reaffirming their bond through the ordeal.
