Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe, 41, and husband Brandon Frankel recently welcomed twins, Cooper and Maya. Heartwarming photos of the family, with the twins in pink and blue rompers, delighted fans. Social media buzzed with admiration. “Those babies are beautiful,” one fan commented, while another noted, “Her daughter looks identical to dad, and the son is all mommy.”
The couple chose Cooper because Frankel loved the name, while Maya’s name was inspired by their babymoon to the Mayan Riviera. Both twins have traditional West African middle names, honoring Sidibe’s heritage.
Sidibe described her twins as strong and humorous. Cooper, a sound sleeper with funny expressions, acts as Maya’s guardian, while Maya loves hearing her name sung. Despite the early and unexpected delivery, Sidibe finds joy in the new chaos of parenthood, cherishing family time and looking forward to dressing her twins and making memories.
Sidibe and Frankel, married in 2022, share a deep bond. Frankel often posts heartfelt tributes to Sidibe, calling her his “Queen” and “best friend.” Their love story, engagement in 2020, and life together, documented on social media, reflect their strong and loving relationship.
