A pregnant woman shared on Reddit that she discovered her husband was cheating on her with her best friend. Married for six years with two kids and one on the way, she found out her husband had been unfaithful for four months. The revelation came when she saw a text on his phone from her best friend saying, “I’m assuming since there hasn’t been an angry pregnant lady on my doorstep, you haven’t told her about us yet?” This discovery came while she was dealing with her father’s terminal colon cancer.
Despite her heartbreak, the woman continued to act normal for a few days, focusing on her children and household duties. She resolved to cut her best friend out of her life: “After today, I will cut her out of my life like she never mattered at all.”
She confided in her mother-in-law and her ex-best friend’s mother, who both supported her. Her mother-in-law declared, “No matter what happens, I will always have her, and as far as she’s concerned, she doesn’t have a son, only a daughter.” The woman began legal proceedings for a divorce and ensured her husband would not receive her father’s inheritance.
The woman later confronted her husband, who reacted violently, leading to his arrest. She moved out with her children and received support from her ex-best friend’s brother, Jake. Her father passed away soon after, and she and her husband got a dissolution of marriage. Her husband now has supervised visits with their children. She named her new baby after her father and found strength in the support of her family and friends.
