It seems there’s a lot of speculation and controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to change the names of both their children, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The change, according to reports, is part of a larger rebranding effort by the couple.
Some individuals are critical of this decision, expressing sentiments that the couple is more focused on maintaining their public image rather than making substantive contributions. Others, however, are supportive, seeing it as a way for the family to distance themselves from the royal institution and to lead happier lives away from public scrutiny.
The change in names also coincides with the revamping of the couple’s website to Sussex.com, reflecting the unified identity of the family under the name Sussex. This departure from the Mountbatten-Windsor surname, which has been a royal tradition since 1964, symbolizes a significant shift for the couple.
Overall, it appears that the decision to change the names has sparked debate and commentary regarding the couple’s motivations and their relationship with the royal family and the public.
