After her husband Tom passed, single mom Megan attended the will reading expecting closure. Instead, she was shocked when the lawyer, Jennifer Green, announced, “I leave all assets and property to Jennifer Green.”
Megan was stunned. “Wait. What did you just say?” The woman, polished and smug, revealed she had been more than just Tom’s attorney. Megan accused her of being his mistress—but the betrayal ran deeper.
Days later, as Megan packed up her husband’s clothes, a letter and a second will fell from his jacket. “I’ve started to doubt Jennifer… here’s the real version,” Tom wrote. He’d left everything to Megan and their three kids.
With the real will in hand, Megan contacted a tough local lawyer. Within a week, Jennifer was exposed for fraud. The court revoked her law license, and Megan reclaimed the house, savings, and stability for her children.
Sitting on her porch as her kids played, Megan whispered, “We’re going to be just fine.”
