A Love Story and Tragic Loss
Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson met in 1993 while performing in Anna Christie on Broadway. Though she was married, their undeniable chemistry led to a lasting love. “I’m pleased that women fall in love with him because I know why,” Richardson once said. They married in 1994 and had two sons, Micheál and Daniel.
In 2009, Richardson suffered a fatal head injury in a skiing accident. Initially dismissing medical attention, her condition worsened, and she was declared brain dead. Neeson honored their pact, saying, “We had made a pact… pull the plug.” He brought her home for loved ones to say goodbye.
Micheál Richardson: A Tribute to His Mother
Micheál, born in 1995, pursued acting like his parents. To honor his mother, he changed his last name in 2018, saying, “It was mainly like a homage to my mother, a way to carry her with me.” Neeson supported his decision, calling it “a lovely gesture.”
Daniel Neeson: A Different Path
Born in 1996, Daniel chose entrepreneurship, founding an eco-friendly clothing brand and tequila company. He cherished his mother’s advice: “Do what you want, but do it to your best.”
Liam Neeson as a Single Father
Raising his sons alone, Neeson worried about their teenage years but trusted their values. “They really do help, in all sorts of quiet, subtle ways,” he said, acknowledging the support of family and friends in navigating fatherhood.
