Pamela Anderson was born in 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia. Her childhood was marked by abuse, including being molested by a female babysitter. She wrote, “I hope you die!” after one traumatic incident. Her father’s violent behavior also left a deep impact—he once drowned her kittens in front of her. “I felt like I died that night, too,” she recalled.
Despite her difficult past, Pamela’s life changed after she was spotted on a stadium jumbotron. This led to modeling work, Playboy shoots, and a role on Baywatch that made her a global icon. Her relationship with Tommy Lee was passionate but turbulent. Their stolen honeymoon tape became one of the internet’s first viral sex scandals. “It ruined lives,” she later wrote. The couple divorced after Lee was convicted of spousal abuse.
Today, Pamela lives quietly in her childhood town, caring for dogs and tending her garden. She’s embraced a makeup-free look, calling it “freeing and fun, and a little rebellious too.” With her memoir “Love, Pamela” and a Netflix doc, she’s taken control of her story—and finally feels “rooted for.”
