Tom Jones, a legendary singer from the mid-’60s, had a career spanning over five decades. Known for hits like “It’s Not Unusual” and “Delilah,” he was equally famous for his numerous affairs despite being married to Melinda Trenchard for nearly 60 years. Jones admitted to sleeping with about 250 women a year at his peak, saying, “I don’t regret anything. All in all, no matter what happened, my marriage is still solid, and my son still loves me.”
Jones and Trenchard married in 1957 after a teenage romance. They had one son, Mark, who later became Jones’s manager. Despite Jones’s infidelity, Trenchard stayed with him until her death in 2016 from cancer, which left Jones heartbroken.
In 1987, Jones had an affair with model Katherine Berkery, resulting in the birth of his son Jonathan. Jones initially denied paternity despite positive DNA tests and maintained this denial for 20 years, believing he was scammed. He eventually paid Berkery a £50,000 settlement but has never acknowledged Jonathan.
Jonathan, now 34, became homeless and struggled with drugs. He never received any support from Jones, leading to a troubled childhood. Despite their lack of contact, Jonathan still hopes for a relationship with his famous father.
