The world’s richest actor, worth an estimated $3 billion, is not a household name. Many might guess famous celebrities like Angelina Jolie or George Clooney, but the true wealthiest actor is Jami Gertz. Despite her significant fortune, many people haven’t heard of her. Gertz is best known for her roles in The Lost Boys, Sixteen Candles, and Twister. She’s also appeared in TV shows like Seinfeld and Modern Family.
While Gertz has had a successful acting career, her immense wealth primarily comes from business ventures with her husband, billionaire Antony ‘Tony’ Ressler. Ressler co-founded private equity firms Apollo Global Management and Ares Management. The couple’s business interests have significantly contributed to her $3 billion net worth.
Gertz and Ressler are notable philanthropists. In 2012, they were recognized as the top charity donors by the Giving Back Fund, donating over $10 million to the Ressler Gertz Foundation. The foundation supports the arts, education, health, and Jewish organizations. Gertz also serves on the board of directors for the Melanoma Research Alliance.
Ressler stated, “Jami and I take our responsibility as owners of a professional sports franchise in the great city of Atlanta very seriously.” Their commitment extends to supporting impactful organizations, emphasizing their dedication to giving back to the community.
