Angelina Jolie revealed that the “best sex” she ever had was with Denzel Washington, though not in the physical sense. While working on The Bone Collector, Jolie found the mental and emotional connection with Washington highly stimulating. “It was great seducing someone with your mind, a huge turn-on,” she said, explaining how their characters’ intellectual and emotional bond developed.
Jolie described the film’s production as challenging and isolating. “It was really lonely, and I went a bit nuts,” she admitted. She struggled with self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of leading the film and questioning her worth. “Am I good enough, am I worth anything, really, on a spiritual deep level?” she pondered.
Despite the intense experience, the film did not perform well, earning a low 28% rating. Jolie reflected on the process, noting, “The film nearly drove me insane because she [her character] was so insane inside.”
In conclusion, Jolie’s connection with Washington in The Bone Collector was profound, though the overall experience was difficult and the film’s reception was poor.
