The Backlash
Billie Eilish, known for her ever-evolving style and bold choices, lost around 100,000 Instagram followers in just one hour after sharing a sketch from her notebook. The drawing featured nude women and breasts, to which she commented, “These probably lol I love b**bs.”
Style Criticism Over the Years
This isn’t the first time Eilish has faced backlash. When she appeared on British Vogue in 2021 with blonde hair and a corset, some fans turned on her. Comments included: “Bring back the green hair,” and “Not a role model anymore.” Eilish fired back: “I can be both.”
Speaking Her Truth
Eilish defended her shift toward a more feminine look, saying:
“I spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely obliterated… and now I’m a sellout?”
She called out fans for holding onto outdated images of her: “It’s very dehumanizing.”
Conclusion
Despite the follower drop, Billie stands firm in her choices. She continues to evolve and challenge norms—reminding everyone that she’s not here to fit in, but to be real.
