Retired swimming legend Michael Phelps, his wife Nicole, and their baby boy Nico have stolen the show at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fans are captivated by the heartwarming images and videos of the family shared online. Michael, sporting a gray-flecked beard and top knot, posted photos on Instagram of the trio enjoying the games. One standout image shows Nico in a red beret, and another captures Nicole in a pink USA tank top holding Nico in denim dungarees.
In one photo, the family poses in front of the Eiffel Tower, and another shows them watching an Olympic event from a VIP box, with Nico wearing protective headphones. Michael humorously captioned the post, “Baby’s first rave.” Fans showered the family with praise, particularly noting Nico’s resemblance to his mom and Nicole’s elegance. Comments ranged from “Looks like his mom!! Adorable ❤️” to “His wife is so beautiful and elegant.”
Michael’s new look with his gray beard has sparked mixed reactions. Some comments included, “I remember when Michael Phelps was a [15-year-old] phenom now he’s got gray in his beard,” and “Michael Phelps with gray in his beard makes me feel older than I’ve ever felt before.”
Michael and Nicole have four sons: Boomer, Beckett, Maverick, and Nico. Michael recently mentioned they are not planning to try for a baby girl, saying, “We have Onyx,” referring to their Great Dane. He shared insights on fatherhood, emphasizing its special moments and challenges, especially with the boys’ “roughhousing.” Michael noted, “Seeing my boys use the tools we’ve given them to work out issues is great. I think that’s something that I didn’t learn until later in life.”
