Katy Perry has addressed the bizarre conspiracy theory claiming she is actually JonBenét Ramsey, a child beauty queen who was murdered in 1996. Despite extensive investigations, her killer remains unidentified.
The theory, which first surfaced in 2014, suggests JonBenét’s death was staged and that she grew up as Perry. Some point to their resemblance, particularly Perry’s naturally lighter hair, as supposed evidence. However, critics note that Perry is five years older than JonBenét would have been. Recently, an AI-generated video showing JonBenét’s image morphing into Perry reignited speculation, prompting Perry to comment: “Wait am i.”
Meanwhile, the case gained renewed attention following the Netflix documentary Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?. Her father, John Ramsey, remains hopeful that modern technology will help identify her killer. In 2024, a woman claimed her husband was responsible for JonBenét’s murder, and reports suggest the FBI has profiled the suspect as a man in his 20s or 30s at the time, with an obsession with movies. DNA evidence was found but remains unlinked to any suspect.
