Ceccon had criticized the Olympic Village for “no air conditioning” and “bad” food, noting many athletes relocated due to these issues. Despite these challenges, Ceccon won gold in the men’s 100m backstroke and bronze in the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay.
Ceccon’s career includes medals from the 2018 Youth Olympics, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the World Championships, where he set a world record.
